What Affects the Price of a Detail
No two quotes are identical, because no two cars arrive in the same condition. When we price a job we are mainly looking at four things: the size of the vehicle, how much correction the paint actually needs, the state of the interior, and whether you want protection applied afterwards. A compact hatchback that is washed fortnightly is a very different job from a three-row SUV that has carried dogs and kids through a Seattle winter.
Vehicle size and condition
Larger vehicles take longer, and heavily soiled ones take longer still. Embedded brake dust, tar, tree sap and hard water spotting all add labour, which is why we prefer to see the car (or clear photos) before quoting rather than guess.
How much paint correction is needed
A single-stage polish to lift light swirl marks is quick work. Deeper defects need multi-stage paint correction, and that is measured in hours rather than minutes. If you are planning to add a coating afterwards, correcting first is worth the money — a coating locks in whatever is underneath it.
Interior work
Vacuuming and wipe-downs are straightforward. Hot-water extraction on carpets, leather cleaning and conditioning, pet hair removal and odour treatment are all separate jobs within an interior detail, so tell us what you are dealing with and we will quote for it properly.
Protection you add on
Ceramic coating is priced by vehicle size and the number of layers. Paint protection film is priced by coverage — a partial front-end kit costs considerably less than a full-body wrap. Window tint depends on how many windows and which film you choose.
Ways to Keep the Cost Down
The single biggest saving is frequency. Cars on a regular maintenance schedule almost never need corrective work, so the cost per visit drops and stays down. Our auto detail packages bundle the combinations people book most often, and our loyalty program rewards repeat visits. If getting to us is the obstacle, mobile detailing removes the trip entirely.
What Happens After You Submit This Form
We read every enquiry ourselves and reply with a written quote rather than a range. If anything is unclear from your description we will ask before quoting. Once you are happy with the figure you can book an appointment at our Bellevue or Seattle studio, or ring us on (206) 222-2710 if you would rather talk it through. Not sure which service you need? The services overview explains what each one does, and the FAQ answers the questions we field most often.
